A good 550W PSU is fine unless both CPU and GPU are heavily overclocked, a not-so-great 550W PSU can cause crashes and shutdowns on power spikes with any overclocking.
550w is much more than enough, new gpu’s( especially nvidia) use much less power than people assume..
